Category: HIM/HER poems

Need more then to only listen

HER:

Tears of guilt run down my face

while the things I said run thru my mind

my body is numb I feel like im floating in space

why can’t I leave these thoughts behind?

HIM:

cuz my hands havent wiped your tears

nor cleared your mind with sweet whispers in you ear

a heart is born as a half piece

a whole is hom to make those thoughts cease

HER:

my half piece has turned into a million pieces

the pain is piercing into my chest

I need you hands, I need your arms and whispering breath

to make me feel at rest

HIM:

the heat of my passion to melt

broken pieces so only love is felt

so your pain becomes my tragedy

under the fading light of unity…

Two Cannot Be Alone

HER:  Time passes before my eyes

While I sit in the corner of this empty room

I’m stuck behind these brick walls

No one seems to hear my calls

So am stuck inside this cell

Waiting for Gabriel to ring his bell

HIM:  Like a prison cell side by side

Beyond your wall is another side

I hear your every cry

So close yet so far

As Lucifer before he fell

Wishing to see the face of whom

I wish to hold

Just to let you know

Now may feel so cold

But two cannot be alone

HER:  A bottle appears inside my cell

It must be a sign that I’m meant to live

Inside this hell

I carve a mark with my nail

As each day passes by

I watch as the blood bleeds down my hand

That’s when I start to cry

I hear you weep on the other side

So far away from my side

Just like my angel the night this

Hell began to rise

HIM:  I only weep as I touch the wall

Imagining our hands will meet

I hear you count the days on the wall

And it only scars my soul

Every day I search for the key

That from this hell we may flee

That I may spend every morning looking

Into your eyes

Your beauty inspiring as the sunrise

HER:  My tears fall and my dirty fingers seem to only

Make things worse

As I look out the window I notice the sun

Seems only to set

And I don’t mean to make you upset

I too want to flee so please

Please find the key

I can only imagine my body against yours

As you stare into my eyes

And kiss me for the first time

HIM:  Then for now I shall sing you to sleep

For morning can only bring hope

As one day I will hold you like a jewel

I long to keep

So let you tears wash away this place

For one day I will hold in my hands your face

As our lips rush and yet linger

Today shall soon be past

This always remember

As we begin what shall last

HER:  Until the day we meet and kiss

I will wait for you my prince

Of Only Dreams

HIM: Such distance from me to you. What are we to do? If I could hold you and never let go, it would be worth the trip to go. To see the voice on the other side of the phone. Every night I wait for the call as every day further and further I fall. Wishin you were here and not just a voice in my ear.

HER: At night I blow a kiss for you. From here to there. Wishing you wont have anymore nightmares. I wish for you to hold me tight while we lay in bed at night. I cant wait to make this call and imagine me holding you so you wont fall.

HIM: The only nightmares is when I wake, and your nowhere to be seen. So its back to sleep, holding onto my dreams. Goodnight to all I knew. Goodnight from me to you. Now drifting off to sleep. Hoping to see you in my dreams.

HER: Your dreams are all you have of me. Untill the day we meet. Then no more nightmares there will be, when you lay down to sleep.

Sun and Moon

HER: The sun and moon chase each other like a cat and dog through the sky’s fog.

HIM: But what if the sun was caught? Would the moon hold it true or not?

HER: Or would he know what to do at all? Perhaps all of life would fall.

HIM: Life would exsist only to fuel the the sun. The moon to reflect to the world love that can’t be undone.

HER: Like a riddle, life leads unsolved to both the moon and the sun. Leaving it all hopeless, artless, and untuned.

HIM: Ah, but there is no riddle without an answer to end, nor an end to a love began. Just as the moon shines bright in the dark dancing with the stars, so shall the sun dance with the moon, even if a world apart.

It takes Two Hearts To Make One

HIM:  Left alone to my thoughts to the one who can’t be forgot.

HER:  So I sit and stare at a picture who’s little words are fiction.

HIM:  If poetry were like honey my every word a bee, my heart the honeycomb, you’re the tree holding my every hope and dream

HER:  It would buzz small secrets for me to keep. Each word slowly rocking me to sleep   like a cradle on top of a tree exposing my dreams throughout the sea

HIM:  The sea rocking you to sleep like in the arms of a lover for every secret be I be the key to finding lasting peace

HER:  A love may not have the peace as you have with poetry, the sea might rock you away from those who make you feel happy

HIM:  If water could take me away then it was not love, if peace I seek then not enough. For there could only be one. My beacon where not shone the sun

HER:  The sun hides behind the sea. without it, the fear of you being shun from me increased. I sit and stare at this tree hoping you would remember me, but peace will never be without this hope I have locked inside

HIM:  I hold the way into your locked depths. Like a tear that has yet to wept, I hold onto every thought of you, every moment fulfilling truth that no two hearts can be one until it is yours I have won.
